The future of contemporary a cappella rests in your hands.

This is why Shannon McNulty is dedicated to providing expansive, immersive and life-changing educational programming as Director of Education for TVC.

Her a cappella story began in 2005, when she joined Premium Blend at Ithaca College and became the primary arranger of their repertoire. After graduating in 2007, Shannon continued to help Premium Blend hone their sound. Under Shannon’s guidance, the group released “ten.” which received a CARA nomination and was named as one of CASA’s Top 10 Female albums of 2010. She also had a hand in the production of “Give Us Back Our Spyplane” (2008) by the MIT Logarhythms, the BU Allegrettos “Light, Graceful and Moderately Fast in Tempo” (2010) and the Wellesley Blue Notes “Ear Candy” (2011).

Shannon also serves as the Choral Director at Marlborough High School in Massachusetts. She holds a B.M. in Vocal Performance and Music Education from Ithaca College and a M.M. in Music Education from Boston University. While developing and managing educational programming for TVC, Shannon is the conductor of two traditional choral ensembles, the contemporary a cappella group Voices ReChoired and is the founder and teacher of the innovative high school a cappella recording class Music Production. This class has been recognized with placements on BOHSA and a 2016 CARA for Best High School Arrangement. In 2014, Marlborough High School recognized her commitment to students and her innovative programming by naming her “Teacher of the Year”.
