Queen of Artist Development
AJ has two passions in life: marketing and a cappella. While she was in college, she performed in and helped lead not one, but two a cappella groups: acting as the president of BU’s leading all female group Terpsichore, and serving as the full time vocal percussionist and choreographer for Emmanuel College’s Acapocalypse. During her time with Terps AJ helped the group raise over 10 thousand dollars to put together their 25 anniversary album with TVC, earning them 3 CARA nominations in 2014. In her free time, she was perfecting her VP technique in the competition circuit as Acapocalypse made their first appearance on both the ICCA and BOSS competition in the Spring of 2015.
Since she knew she couldn’t live a post grad life without a cappella, she decided to create her own professional all female group: Phoenix. AJ acts as the business and music director of Phoenix, and has already helped lead the group through sold out concerts, leading workshops with local Boston area groups, and building a strong brand for themselves in the post collegiate a cappella community.
Whilst spending her free hours planning and organizing for Phoenix, AJ spent her first 6 months post grad being trained by some of the brightest minds in marketing at leading tech company HubSpot. Although working at a tech start up was a blast, AJ couldn’t turn down the opportunity to join the incredible #TVCFamily and help both TVC and hundreds of a cappella groups grow and succeed. Whether you want to know how to break 100,000 views on YouTube, make $10,000 a year from gigs, have an album launch your fans can’t stop talking about, or just how to be an a cappella superstar – AJ is your girl. Her spit-fire attitude, innovative marketing knowledge, and love of a cappella make her an invaluable member of the team, and your group’s secret weapon.
